Trollies and Wheel Chair

We were planning on using one of the trollies to see the freedom trail. My wife is partially handicapped. Se can get out of a wheel chair and board the trolly. Is there a location on the trolly to store the wheel chair? In the isle, on the back?

Thanks

Hi Bidderman,

Of the three sightseeing trolley companies, I would only recommend one, Old Town Trolley. It gets the best reviews. I%26#39;m not sure if Beantown Trolley tours have handicap accessible trolleys, since their website never seems to answer any important questions. They only seem to be interested in making a buck.

Super Tours of Boston gets horrible reviews and while they claim to have ';some'; handicap accessible trolleys, it can%26#39;t be many since they only operate four trolleys all together! Lots of complaints of overbooking with this trolley tour.

Old Town also claims to have ';some'; handicap trolleys with hydraulic lifts. I%26#39;m not sure how many that is. They do say that you need to phone them at 800-868-7482. Be sure to ask how many trolleys are operating during the day. Since each trolley takes nearly two hours to complete it%26#39;s tour, you wouldn%26#39;t want to be stuck that long waiting for the next handicap accessible trolley to come by to pick you two up. You could also ask them if the non handicapped trolleys can hold a wheelchair since your wife can board on her own.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Yes, I have many good things about Old Town Tolley on this forum. This just adds to the reasons to use them. I will give them a call. Thanks for the tip!
