We are now thinking of doing the following in a week in September.
2 nights Boston
2 nights Falmouth - Inn on the Sound
2 nights Chatham - The Captains House Inn
1 night Newport RI
I just wanted to see if this sounds like a good vacation. Will 2 nights in Falmouth %26amp; Chatham be enough or should I just spend 4 nights in Chatham %26amp; drive to visit Falmouth? Any more suggestions would be grateful before I go ahead and book.

The upper cape (Falmouth) is much different than the mid-Cape, outer-Cape, lower-Cape areas (I wanted to be Very specific for the ';purists'; on the forum!). I think you%26#39;re going to have a great trip! Check the forum for restaurant suggestions and/or other activities and come back with specific questions. The Captains House Inn is a charming place and the innkeepers are lovely. Enjoy!

I, myself, would spend more time in Newport.
By staying in Falmouth, you will have close access to get to the Vineyard.
Sounds very doable as long as you don%26#39;t mind moving around. What kinds of things are you hoping to see and do?
