Looking for less expensive accommodation near Boston

Looking for less expensive accommodation near Boston.

Since the hotel price near big city is always high,I guess I need to find somewhere within 1 hour driving distance to Boston. Do you have any suggestion? What are the small towns near Boston?

Hey Charles,

One hour outside the city?

Can I ask you a couple of questions?

1. are you planning to spend any time in the city?

2. have you looked at the summer rates of some of the 3 star hotels yet?

3. have you looked at the summer rates at any of the B%26amp;B%26#39;s?

Yes, of course there are lots of lovely New England small towns outside of Boston. Maybe you should do a little research and then I could help you.

You could find less experience hotels an hour out but, you can end up in a hotel next to one of several crazy-busy 8 lane highways in the suburbs and completely isolated.

So, could you just give me and others some idea of what you are hoping to do when you come here?

I do not ever recommend a car hire to anyone unfamiliar to Boston.

Mass transit is available outside of the city.

But, it does depend on where you are located.

I know I probably haven%26#39;t helped you much, but I would like to once I get a handle on your vision for your trip.

cheers,

KateOK/boston

Hi,

First of all, there%26#39;s been many, many, many discussions about this in the forum. If you search for ';budget hotel'; or ';reasonable hotel near boston';, you will get a lot of good information.

Second, if you want a useful answer, you need to provide us with useful information:

1. What is your budget in US Dollars per night for this room?

2. Are you willing to pay for parking for your car? I assume you will be driving here since you mention ';1 hour driving distance';.

3. Would you like to be near the T so you don%26#39;t have to drive into Boston every day?

4. When is your visit? Is it over a weekend, or does it include weekdays too?

The more specific you are, the more helpful we can be.
