Is There a Better Time of Day for WhaleWatching?

Hello:

We are planning to go whalewatching through Dolphin Fleet out of Provincetown the week of July 21. Is there a better chance of seeing many whales at certain times of day, i.e. afternoons, etc? Does it make a difference if it is mid day and a hot day?

Whales are in different places at different times of the day. This schedule changes from day to day. The boats will travel to different waters to find them.

These boats have so much equipment on them, I can%26#39;t imagine not seeing whales at Any time of day, but they give you your money back if you don%26#39;t see any whales. (unlikely that you wouldn%26#39;t see them).

the best whale watch we ever went on was a sunset cruise - we saw so many even the crew was excited! Not sure if that was just dumb luck or not.

Dumb luck? Maybe, but more likely a combination of a lot of unpredictable factors that we don%26#39;t know of. Dumb or not....you had a Great experience and I call that lucky!

check the wearher report before you go whales are more likly to be at the surface when its not to rough whales tend to be more playful in the early morning and late afternoon. numder of whales you see just depends on how luckly you are.
