My family, two adults and two kids ages 12 and 14 are travelling to Boston via New York by car in August. We are looking for hotels/motels with suites or interconnecting rooms which are clean, safe and economical preferably central or it%26#39;s easy to travel into town although I gather its best not to travel in to town by car.
Anyone know of a hotel around $150 a night... I have seen Best Western Roundhouse Suites located in Boston%26#39;s South End... however am worried aboutn the location...any comments or suggestions? Thanks
Best Western Roundhouse Suites
You are right to be worried about the location. Try the Midtown Hotel instead. Pretty basic, but convenient, safe location, across from the Prudential Center and the T. Even has a pool.
Good luck,

Best Western Roundhouse Suites
Hi,
I don%26#39;t think the Roundhouse is a good idea. It%26#39;s not that the neighborhood is terribly unsafe, but it is extremely unsavory...lots of beggars, ugly industrial sites, a big highway interchange, gas stations all around it. It%26#39;s just a nasty area to stay, especially if you are a visitor to our city.
You might try the John Jeffries house, which has suites, or you could try the Doubletree hotel in Chinatown, that might work.
Agree with Alan and Beantown -- avoid Roundhouse
