Oceanside Condos

has anyone stayed at the Oceanside Condos in Dennisport? Are they right on the ocean? Generally, how did you like them? Thanks

Oceanside Condos

I also saw their website and it looked nice from the picture and the price was good but I wondered if anyone has any info as I had not seen any reviews at all.

Oceanside Condos

We stayed at these condos in June 2007 and was very impressed, so much so we are going back in 2008. Our stay was made more enjoyable by the site manager jackie, she had loads of information regarding sites to visit and what was worth the visit, and yes the condos are directley on the beach and within walking distance of good eating places. It impressed us enough to travel all the way from the U.K.for a return visit.

We stayed there two years ago and are going back this year for the week after the 4th of July.

We absolutely loved it. Everyone is very friendly. It is very family orientated and you could not ask for a better location.

We also had friends stay here who liked it. However, DO take a look at the condos on the website and they vary from each other. Also they are on the beach STREET not ON the beach. They are across the street from Glendon Beach which is not a walkers beach unless it is low tide. Just in the interest of full disclosure folks.

I am glad I found this post. I am also found these condos while searching for cottage rentals. What attracted me to this one is the pool, proximity to beach and the fact that it has AC. Photos I have seen on their web site and on some of the vacation home rental sites vary though as does price. Some seem much more modern/upgraded than others. So I am wondering are they all privately owned or do they have some that are just rentals?

Also I have never been to the Cape so I am trying to figure out the best town/location for a family with two young children. Is Dennisport a good choice? How is the location of these condos in terms of distance to restaurants, shops and area attracations? Thanks!

Yes Dennisport is a good family destination. The line between motel and condo rental gets quite blurry on Cape Cod because many of the motels have been converted to private ownership condo%26#39;s. The condo owner furnishs the unit and the condo association hires an onsite manager to oversee the rentals when the owners are not using the unit themselves. Have you considered a home rental in Dennisport? There is a big market for vacation rentals in that area and you might find that you get more for you money staying in a home. You can use a realtor or one of the various popular by-owner rental sites like www.weneedavacation.com or www.cyberrentals.com

Thanks for the info. Since we are totally switching gears from our original plans we are kind of late to the game. I think the biggest concern with these motel/condo conversions is that when the units are individually owned the quality of the accomodations varies by owner. We were hoping for a pool, but the main concern really is to have a clean, comfortable place close to a beach. This is definitely still on the short list but I will see what else is out there now that I know this is a good area to focus the search.
