What part of Boston should we stay in?

I%26#39;ve read through several postings and have yet to come to a conclusion....

There are 4 of us girls, all 27 years old, traveling to Boston for a weekend. We have no idea where to stay! We will want to head out to some fun clubs at night, and do some site-seeing or shopping during the day. Can anyone suggest an area of town (someone recommended Faneuil Hall) that would be idea for us girls?

What part of Boston should we stay in?

Clubs and historic sightseeing on the Freedom Trail: Advantage Downtown and the Waterfront.

Shopping and Museums: Advantage Back Bay

What part of Boston should we stay in?

Back Bay is a shoppers paradise. You can do two malls without ever stepping foot outside. Once outside, you have 8 blocks of shopping along Newbury Street, not to mention stores along other streets as well. There%26#39;s also some good clubs along Lansdowne Street not far from the Back Bay and can be reached very easily by taking the green line to Kenmore stop. Fanueil Hall can be reached by taking the green line to Government Center stop. There%26#39;s some good nightlife there as well. For what your looking for, pick either the Back Bay or Downtown. The T will take you anywhere in the city your feet don%26#39;t want to.
