Nice, Reasonable Accomodations 6/23-29

Hi all! I moved to Boston about 5 months ago and have never been to Nantucket. My parents are coming to visit 6/20-23 and then heading to Nantucket for the remiander of the week (6/23-29). The dates don%26#39;t have to be exact. The only accomodateions I am finding are between $400-600. The want something in a good location that is nice...but not Jared Coffin House prices. Does anyone have any recommendations. They would even consider buying someone%26#39;s summer share for that week. please let me know. thanks!!

Finding a nice place this late into the game is nearly impossible. Nearly everyone vacationing on the Island during peak season book way in advance. I just looked through everything on the Island for your parents stay and nearly everything was booked solid. No surprise. Except one. A good one. It%26#39;s called The Carlisle House and the reviews are fantastic. It%26#39;s rated #6 of 45 for B%26amp;B%26#39;s. It seems the new owner, Heather has been wonderful since she took it over in the last 6 months or so. She has two rooms left at $295. The bad news is that it%26#39;s only available for 4 nights, Monday check in, Friday checkout. I really don%26#39;t think you can find better at this point. 5 days, 4 nights should give your parents plenty of time to enjoy Nantucket. They could island hop to Martha%26#39;s Vineyard and spend the last 2 nights there. Then they could chalk up staying in both places on one trip. Anyways, it%26#39;s a suggestion. According to their website www.hawthornhouse.com The Hawthorn House has a queen size bed with private bath for $220.plus tax.

The location can%26#39;t be beat if you like right downtown.

Was in Mexico over New Year%26#39;s and in March. Next trip is booked for New Year%26#39;s %26#39;09 but am going to try and get there some time this summer if I can round up my girlfriends. This is definitely NOT the right post to talk about Mexico but oh well! Salud!

Check out the Island Reef. It%26#39;s immediately behind the Harbor House on North Water Street. You have to call for reservations as they don%26#39;t have their availability online but the rates top out at $250.00 per night. It%26#39;s a very nice and cozy spot.
