Solo Dining

Hi all,

I%26#39;ll be stopping off for a few days solo in Boston in early August and will be staying in the Copley Square area.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for solo dining in the city? Somewhere fairly relaxed where you can eat at the bar in a nice pair of jeans, shirt and shoes. I%26#39;m 27 and will be arriving on a Saturday and leaving again on the Wednesday for Las Vegas. I was thinking about maybe heading to Harvard square one night, is that a good place for dinner and a couple of drinks in a friendly bar?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy

Solo Dining

I can%26#39;t think of many places where a solo diner wouldn%26#39;t feel comfortable, really. I like to eat at the bar when I%26#39;m eating alone for the most part.

Some suggestions in that vein for you:

Silvertone

No 9 Park

Tremont 647

The Beehive

B%26amp;G Oysters

Prezza

Toro

Pops

For Harvard Square:

-Grafton Street (drinks only--the food is not very good)

-Shays (drinks only)

-Charlies (a loveable greasy spoon with cheap drinks and a good jukebox)

-the bar at Casablanca

Thanks for the suggestions Veronica they are very much appreciated.

another popular choice would be to eat dinner at the bar at Jacob Wirth:

When I was your age I used eat at Ciao Bella a lot. A very nice bar to eat solo. 240 Newbury Street. From here there are plenty of places to go.

The Capital Grille on Newbury and Mass. has another nice bar to eat solo.

Thanks for all the replies I appreciate the help.
